Therapy Resident - Orthopedics

Job Overview The Therapy Resident - Orthopedics is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care including Examination, Evaluation, Diagnosis, Planning, Intervention and Establishing Outcomes. Responsibilities Evaluates and reassesses patient condition. Determines plan of care. Provides appropriate and effective interventions. Supervises and directs appropriate members of rehab team. Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position. Develop a personal program of self-study and professional growth with guidance from the teaching faculty and staff. Participate fully in the education activities of their program and as required, assume responsibility for teaching and supervising students and others as appropriate. Participate, as appropriate, in PT related research opportunities and/or community outreach service projects. Required Qualifications Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Minnesota or temporary license in the state of Minnesota APTA Membership Member of the APTA Academy of Orthopedics Completion of Residency Interview process Pelvic residents: Level One Pelvic Floor course or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy Benefit Overview Fairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more! The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
