Performance Line Cook

Performance CookWe're seeking a Performance Cook to join our team. The Performance Cook's duties will include:Maintain equipment, including refrigerators, stoves, ice machines, dish washer, etc..Perform other duties as directed by the Executive ChefMust be able to work catering events, nights, and weekends as needed by client request.Ensure that the kitchen and surrounding areas are sanitized and clean in accordance with company standards and health code regulationsAbility to prep creative, simple, health oriented menu items on a daily basis, implementing EXOS' nutrition principles, in a sanitary and timely mannerFollows recipes, portion controls, and procedures as established by the EXOS kitchenCleans and maintains station up to standards while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skillsPosses' creativity, desirability to learn, and has uttermost respect for foodAnswers, reports, and follows Executive or Sous Chef's instructionsAssists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areasPerforms additional responsibilities as requested by the chef or sous chef at any timeOther duties as assignedPosition Reports to: Performance Executive Chef and Performance Sous ChefQualifications:Minimum 2 year's restaurant experience as a prep and/or line cookKitchen sensed, self-motivated, driven, organized, and cleanAbility to receive feedback and take instructionsUnderstanding of professional cooking, knife handling skills, and various cuisinesUnderstanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling proceduresExcellent customer service and a hospitable attitudeProfessional communication skillsCulinary Nutrition degree and background preferredUnderstanding of Exchange SystemFamiliarity and experience with ESHA Food ProcessorAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressure in an open kitchen environmentMust be able to read, understand, and follow basic cooking directionsMust be able to work some catering events, nights, and weekends during high seasonCommitment to quality serviceWorking Conditions:Generally in an indoor open kitchen setting.Daily use of ESHA Food Processor and basic word, and excel computer programs.Varying schedule to include evenings, some holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold from the mechanical equipment.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loudUphold the EXOS Mission Statement, objectives, nutrition principles, and all future direction set forth by the EXOS management.Abide by all policies and procedures set forth in the EXOS Policies and Procedures Manual.Think you're a good fit?
