Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Carpenters to support MTA projects located throughout Long Island, Westchester County, and Dutchess County. Ideal candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have prior experience working on construction projects. Candidates should be comfortable working in active construction environments, performing hands-on oriented work as required by the project and be able to commit to this 6-week project.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman with day-to-day project activities.
• Perform general labor duties, including loading, unloading, moving, and organizing construction materials and equipment.
• Set up, maintain, and clean work areas to ensure a safe and organized jobsite.
• Operate basic hand and power tools as directed.
• Assist with material removal, site preparation, and general construction activities.
• Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Follow all project-specific safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with the installation, assembly, and movement of construction materials and equipment as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
• Ability to reliably report to different project locations throughout Long Island, Westchester County, and Dutchess County, as required.
• Prior construction, general labor, mechanical, or trades-related experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction team
• Must be able to comply with all project access, safety, and training requirements.
• Availability to start immediately and commit to the full six-week duration of the project
• Ability to successfully complete and pass all required background checks and project-specific screening requirements.

Salary: $70/hour
