Pay Range: $26-$35 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join a Pediatric Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center in Haines City, FL.

This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about working with medically complex children in a structured, team-oriented clinical setting. You will provide skilled nursing care, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, and support children's medical and developmental needs during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in a PPEC setting
• Administer medications (oral, enteral, subcutaneous, and IV as applicable)
• Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Manage tube feedings and oxygen therapy
• Monitor and manage seizure activity and neurological conditions
• Provide wound care and post-surgical care
• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, repositioning)
• Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately
• Maintain and review Medication Administration Records (MAR)
• Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary care team members
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida RN or LPN license
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass Level II background screening
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients

Required Clinical Experience

• Tube feeding
• Tracheostomy care
• Wound care
• Seizure management
• Oxygen-dependent patient care
• IV therapy (within scope of practice)

• Premature birth and post-discharge care
• Chronic lung disease
• Feeding disorders
• Insulin-dependent diabetes
• Failure to thrive
• Immune deficiencies
• Renal failure
• Spina bifida
• Pre- and post-organ transplant care
• Genetic or rare disorders
• Colostomy and ileostomy care
• Short- and long-term post-surgical care
