Description

Evaluation of Emerson AMS Device Manager vs Rockwell AssetCentre for online management of HART enabled instruments:

Document connection method to ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms from AMS Device Manager (via Spectrum Controls Connects) and Rockwell AssetCentre
Evaluate ease of use and management of both products for: instrument discovery (identify instruments on connected controller), instrument management (online management via DD/DTM), instrument configuration backup, automated instrument configuration monitoring and change detection, instrument inventory (with extent of information provided in inventory)
Evaluate both products for SJVBU use: remote controllers that may not have totally reliable connections to the Asset Management server, instruments with the same tag name, instruments that dont have HART parameters configured
Evaluate both products for network deployment: integration of security with Windows Active Directory, requirements for licensing, requirements for collection servers and loading, requirements for client software
Progress AMS Wireless SNAP ON to field pilot
Develop architecture for pilot of AMS Wireless SNAP ON in Coalinga
Identify gateways and connected device to include in pilot scope
Evaluate software licenses on hand and identify ga
