Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Training Available


Gainesville, FL
Starting Pay: $19-$20 per hour
Full-time | Monday-Friday | No Weekends


An established, locally owned Gainesville pharmacy and compounding lab is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician who wants to develop specialized skills, provide exceptional customer service, and build a long-term career.


The ideal candidate will have at least six months to one year of pharmacy technician experience. Previous compounding experience is preferred, but it is not required. The employer is willing to provide compounding training to the right candidate.


Technical ability and attention to detail are essential, but personality matters just as much. We are looking for someone who is warm, engaging, dependable, and passionate about taking care of customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with the accurate preparation and processing of prescriptions
• Communicate with customers regarding prescription and order updates
• Provide friendly, attentive service in person and over the phone
• Prepare and package completed orders for pickup, local delivery, or mailing
• Learn and follow established pharmaceutical compounding procedures
• Measure, prepare, label, and document medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain accurate records and follow established quality and safety procedures
• Stock medications, ingredients, and pharmacy supplies
• Monitor inventory and maintain organized work areas
• Work closely with pharmacists and other team members to ensure accuracy and excellent service

What We're Looking For

• At least six months to one year of pharmacy technician experience
• Compounding experience is preferred but not required
• A strong interest in learning pharmaceutical compounding
• A warm, professional, and engaging personality
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Dependability and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• A genuine desire to help customers and provide an outstanding experience
• Ability to satisfy all applicable pharmacy technician registration requirements

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay of $19-$20 per hour, depending on experience
