JOB TITLE : Cashier

REPORTS TO: Store Director

Job Purpose:

The Cashier plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional client experience by supporting Client Advisors and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with TOM FORD FASHION standards. This position serves as the primary point of contact at the cash wrap, assisting with sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and client inquiries while helping maintain a seamless and elevated store experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Process all point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently, including sales, returns, exchanges, gift card purchases, and other client service transactions.
\n
• Support Client Advisors by facilitating a smooth checkout process and ensuring clients receive prompt, professional service.
\n
• Maintain accuracy in cash handling, credit card transactions, and reconciliation procedures while following all company policies.
\n
• Greet clients warmly at the cash wrap and collaborate with store associates to provide a seamless luxury shopping experience.
\n
• Assist clients with basic inquiries regarding purchases, store policies, product availability, and service offerings.
\n
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct client inquiries to the appropriate store team member when needed.
\n
• Maintain the cash wrap area, ensuring it remains clean, organized, well-stocked, and presentation-ready at all times.
\n
• Support store operations by preparing merchandise for pickup, gift wrapping, transfers, and client appointments as needed.
\n
• Assist with replenishment, light merchandising, and maintaining sales floor standards during non-peak transaction periods.
\n
• Follow all loss prevention, security, and cash management procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
\n
• Accurately track and report transaction discrepancies, damaged merchandise, and operational concerns to store leadership.
\n
• Partner with Client Advisors and store leadership to support daily business needs and enhance the overall client experience.
\n

Skills, Competencies & Requirements:

\n
• 1-3 years of retail, cashier, customer service, or luxury retail experience preferred.
\n
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling transactions and payments.
\n
• Experience working with POS systems and basic retail technology.
\n
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
\n
• Ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced retail environment.
\n
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support Client Advisors and store operations.
\n
• Ability to handle confidential client and payment information with discretion and integrity.
\n
• Ability to lift or carry (push/pull) up to 25 pounds as needed.
\n
