As a Teen Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for teens ages 12-18. This position offers the opportunity to design and lead innovative programs that promote educational success, career readiness, and healthy life skills. Working alongside a dedicated team and community partners, you will empower teens to reach their full potential while making a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate year-round programs for teens ages 12-18, focusing on education, employment readiness, and social, emotional, and cultural development.
Conduct and analyze teen interest surveys to ensure programming meets the evolving needs and interests of Club members.
Promote the Club’s mission and values through teen programming and community engagement initiatives.
Provide opportunities for personal growth, health education, life skills, and employment readiness through needs-based and interest-based activities.
Maintain and update resources to address current and emerging trends affecting teens.
Participate in staff and advisory meetings to advocate for teen interests and align programming with organizational goals.
Serve as a positive role model at Club events and within the community.
Collaborate with Boys & Girls Clubs of America Teen Services and local organizations to enhance programming and maximize resources.
Coordinate and transport teens for field trips and special programs using Club vehicles.
Assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned by Club management.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in recreation, behavioral sciences, education, administration, or a related field.
At least three years of experience working with children and adolescents, including one year in program management, preferably with teens.
Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a Class B driver’s license.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet research.
Ability to collaborate effectively with community organizations and social service agencies.
Experience organizing outreach events and communicating program goals to diverse audiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring flexibility and creativity.
Organizational skills to achieve outreach and membership objectives.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform job duties as required.
