Field Service Agent

To connect service and information with district leadership in areas of board and school operations, while establishing an effective communication link among school districts/charters, and ESC Region 11. The Field Service agent is responsible for working collaboratively to coach and support district superintendent/leadership and board executives.

Bachelor's Degree, required

Masters Degree, required

Lone Star Governance Coach Certification, preferred

Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff, and campus/district/charter school personnel.

Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and word processing.

Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data.

Ability to align programs to support high achievement for all students.

Ability to travel extensively and interface with multiple central office and campus personnel.

Experience in the development and management of organizational and/or departmental budgets.

Knowledge of technology and appropriate technological applications.

Extensive knowledge of the state/federal accountability systems, federal programs, special education, curriculum, instruction, and leadership as assigned position requires.

Knowledge of and familiarity with the Texas Education Code, Texas Administrative Code, board policy structure and development, and other state and federal statutes and regulations that impact Texas public schools.

Three years of executive-level experience (principal, assistant principal, central office, ESC, or other related fields).

Demonstrated successful experience in training adult learners.

Specialized training or experience in federal programs, school finance, communications, campus/district planning, curriculum, instruction, district effectiveness and compliance, and accountability preferred.

Provide support through training and coaching district and campus administrators on key initiatives of the Commissioner and Executive Director to improve student achievement in school systems and assist school systems in the execution of the Commissioner's and Executive Director's key initiatives.

Support the Texas Education Agency's appraisal suite for aspiring administrators through AEL, T-TESS, TPESS and Impact Coaching.

Support ESC11's outreach programs such as CAN Meetings, Red River Classic, Instructional Leaders and monthly Regional Advisory Committee

Serve as a line of communication and acquire information from appropriate sources to collaborate with LEAs to enhance student achievement.

Assist in identifying emerging needs in LEAs and establish a communication system for sharing information with ESC Region 11 staff.

Provide timely and accurate responses to questions from LEA personnel regarding options available for supporting the operations of the LEAs.

Provide accurate, up-to-date information to district personnel regarding developments, initiatives, and priorities at the ESC and state levels.

Assist and support district leadership in identifying district needs and providing information concerning ESC services and personnel that could assist in responding to those needs.

Aid LEA's executive leadership in identifying resources, products, and services available from ESC Region 11, the Texas Education Agency, and other sources to support efforts to improve student achievement.

Ability to develop and implement individualized coaching plans with specific learning outcomes focused on strategic planning, performance management, and change management to support senior leaders.

Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress.

Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Frequent region and state-wide travel.

Open cubicles/workstations.

Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.
