Sanitation Cleanup (CIP Technician) - 3rd shift

Benefits & Compensation Overview Training rate: $24.26/hr (training could take up to 1 year) Once certified (100% CIP): $27.35/hr Medical, dental, and vision coverage (HRA or HSA) Additional perks: pet insurance, employee assistance program, supplemental life insurance, etc. Work Schedule Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays; third shift (8:00 PM–6:30 AM) plus a $2.00 shift differential. Ability to work all shifts as required by training needs. Ability to work daily overtime as needed. Plant Overview Over 300 employees. Holland plant, established in 1897. Products: sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, BBQ sauce. Union facility – Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU). Job Overview Clean and sanitize production lines and peripheral areas throughout the facility, using various chemicals. Responsibilities & Duties Meet or exceed quality standards, including following GMP requirements. Inspect raw materials and finished goods. Complete quality documentation. Assist in rework as assigned. Escalate quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors. Operate sanitation workers, removing trash cans, totes, and other containers from the line (following PPE requirements). Turn on equipment, drain/empty fillers and conveyors of excess or unprocessed product residue. Pre‑rinse equipment to remove food residue and soils. Apply chemicals as instructed for various lines and products. Allow chemicals to soak or CIP for the required amount of time. Rinse chemicals to remove all remaining food residue, soils, and chemical residue. Wash and/or sweep remaining product residue from the floor. Operate a forklift to perform sanitation duties such as removing trash. Perform all duties within compliance of GMP and safety protocols. Perform additional duties as instructed by lead person and/or supervisor (e.g., master sanitation, other assignments). Escalate safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors. Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level, participating in shift hand‑offs meetings, Level 1 meetings, performance boards, centerline management (CLM), CIL, 5S, defect handling, start‑up/shut‑down, changeovers, daily problem handling, and work with support departments to improve line performance. Keep work area clean and orderly. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50–100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary. Work Environment Near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high noise levels, chemicals, strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors. Personal Protective Equipment Wear company‑authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection, and other PPE as required. Qualifications On‑hire training to become lockout/tagout certified and maintain qualification. Must successfully pass on‑the‑job training and maintain operator qualification. Must be able to operate a forklift. Must handle potentially hazardous chemicals safely. GED or greater required. Requires ability to read, write, and communicate in English or Spanish.
