Nurse Practitioner (NP) Employee Health Services - Per Diem

Scope Of Position The Nurse Practitioner - Employee Health Services is responsible for providing clinical services to Rockingham County employees and contract employees in an ambulatory setting. This role operates within the scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners and in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as established standards of care. The Nurse Practitioner supports the health, safety, and wellness of employees through comprehensive occupational health services, including pre-employment examinations, medical surveillance, treatment, and injury and illness management. A DAY IN THE LIFE The Nurse Practitioner - Employee Health Services plays a key role in supporting the health and safety of Rockingham County employees. The Nurse Practitioner conducts pre-placement examinations and medical surveillance, including physical examinations, drug screenings, hearing and vision testing, and other evaluations to determine employees' fitness for their positions. They provide direct care, including health examinations, medications, immunizations, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. The Nurse Practitioner assesses health status, develops plans of care, orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests, prescribes appropriate treatments, and monitors outcomes. Working collaboratively with employees, the Workers' Compensation Coordinator, employers, insurance companies, and healthcare providers, the Nurse Practitioner manages work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, facilitates referrals, and evaluates work restrictions and fitness for duty. They also participate in preventative screening and immunization programs, provide health education, maintain accurate and confidential health records, and contribute to Quality Improvement/QAPI initiatives. Must be able to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position and department. Required Education And Experience Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN); and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; and Three to five years of Occupational Health experience; or An equivalent combination of education, work, and experience will be considered. Current Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License. National Board Certification. Possesses specialized knowledge that can lead to increased employee retention, as well as reduced workers' compensation claims. Current licensure and credentials required by the State of NH to practice as Nurse Practitioner. Certification in Occupational Health. CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
