Supply Chain Intern

Job Summary: Under the direction of our Supply Chain Team a Supply Chain Intern in manufacturing provides basic Supply Chain support which includes collecting data, creating reports, and analyzes data to meet various internal & external reporting requirements to make improvements within the supply chain.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
• Review and analyze gathered data to locate potential improvement / cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain processes. Partner with appropriate resources to realize the improvements.
• Partner with the Procurement / Supply Chain leaders to administer the supplier diversity program, including managing & analyzing spend data, submitting reports to customers, & identifying opportunities to improve performance towards the objectives of the program.
• Support the plants as appropriate to ensure smooth execution of routine supply chain / purchasing activities.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

Working on a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a minimum 3.0 GPA (will be verified) Supply Chain management student or a related field 0 to 3 years' experience. Previous internship experience is a plus. Strong problem solving skills. Understanding of DOE principals. Very capable in use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) Enthusiasm for the opportunity and willingness to go beyond the responsibilities identified Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong initiative, self-starter and highly motivated Ability to manage multiple projects Ability to work independently and in a team and perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Confidence to work with and influence senior team members Available for a 20+ hours/week internship
