Data Engineer

Join our team and build large-scale, cutting-edge data platforms from the ground up! This role offers the opportunity to leverage the latest Big Data technologies without the constraints of technical debt. Responsibilities Help define company data assets (data model) and develop Spark, SparkSQL, and HiveSQL jobs. Design data integrations and data quality frameworks, and evaluate open-source/vendor tools for data lineage. Collaborate with business units and engineering teams to develop a long-term Data Platform architecture that is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Own the data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating design and operational cost-benefit tradeoffs. Work with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and represent key data insights. Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations. Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems. Requirements 5+ years of Python, Java, C++, or Scala development experience. 5+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus). 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling. Startup mentality with strong ownership. Excellent product strategic thinking and communication skills. BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of Python, Java, C++, Scala development experience. 3+ years of SQL experience. 3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
