Nurse Advanced Practice - Pediatric Pulmonology

Pediatrics Pulmonary Team Member

Candidates must have pediatrics experience. Part of the Peds Pulmonary team. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends, no holidays. Once established, you would work one 5:00 PM clinic (last appointment at 5:00 PM) per week. Majority of time would be spent at the Getty Ave., Paterson clinic. Time would also be spent at the Rochelle Park and Wayne locations. Also responsible for peds pulmonary with attention to the Cystic Fibrosis Grant and population.

Responsible for overseeing the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specialty competencies. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting objects weighting more than 100 pounds. Standing for more than two hours at a time. Stoopin' or bending. Manual dexterity - reach and grasp objects. Color vision - the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Ability to hear and communicate orally. Proofreading and checking documents for accuracy. Using a keyboard to enter and transform words or data. Using a video display terminal to receive or audit information or data.
