This role will work with psychotherapists, primary care physicians, and adjunct support services staff. Additionally, this role will support the clinical supervision and professional growth of other psychiatric providers, such as Advance Practice Providers and/or trainees.Responsibilities:Provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessment, evidence-based medication management and treatment, psycho-education, and follow-up to patientsProvides health and behavioral health servicesProvides Medication Assisted Treatment to patients, as neededProvides personal information to and participates in the credentialing process with managed care companiesParticipates in process and program quality improvement initiativesParticipates in case conferences, departmental or agency meetings, as directedImpacts patient experience by demonstrating values of Transforming Care including, but not limited to, courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracyCompletes documentation timely, accurately, and locks notes within 48 hoursProvides weekly clinical supervision to PMHNP, PA-C, or other advanced provider equivalent positionsShares accountability for overall patient health outcomes, working in coordination with Care TeamsOperates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholdersEducation/Experience:MD or DO degreeCompletion of four-year psychiatry residencyCompletion of or eligible for ABPN Board certificationValid CA medical license requiredCurrent CA DEA licensure is required and is to be maintained as a condition of employmentCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an American Heart Association (AHA)-approved source is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. AHA-approved courses include an in-person, hands-on skills check with a certified instructor using a mannequin to demonstrate CPR and emergency response techniques. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
