Holistic Mental and Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a full-time therapist, you will provide specialized care to individuals dealing with the lasting effects of trauma. This is a remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while serving our diverse patient population in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Work Environment\nThis remote role operates within a collaborative and supportive environment. While the majority of your work will take place from home, our outpatient office offers occasional opportunities to meet team members and engage in professional development. Our work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility necessary to meet the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to discern patients' trauma histories and identify appropriate therapeutic approaches. \n
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience, tailored to each individual patient. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions. \n
- Support patients in processing trauma by guiding them through coping strategies and promoting the healing process in a safe environment. \n
- Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support and treatment for each patient. \n
- Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your skills to stabilize and assist individuals in distress. \n
- Facilitate educational sessions for patients and their families, covering trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for further support. \n
- Maintain meticulous records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient documentation. \n
- Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care. \n
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic approaches and patient care. \n
You will work with a varied patient population, focusing primarily on individuals affected by trauma who are seeking to reclaim their lives. This includes helping survivors of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic experiences who face challenges such as PTSD and complex trauma. Your therapeutic interventions will empower them to navigate their healing journeys.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts. \n
- Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities. \n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. \n
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of computer applications for managing patient information. \n
- A collaborative mindset conducive to being part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. \n

- At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a preference for those who have experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. \n
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and to navigate high-stress situations effectively. \n
