When a business hits real financial distress, the lawyer leading the case shapes what survives. This role is for a first-chair restructuring partner who has been in the middle of Chapter 11 cases and wants to lead them on a strong Florida platform.

What You'll Own

• Lead Chapter 11 cases as first chair, representing debtors, creditors' committees, and fiduciaries from the first-day hearings through plan confirmation
• Drive the work that moves a case forward, including asset sales, cash collateral and financing fights, claims disputes, and plan negotiations
• Handle the bankruptcy litigation that grows out of these cases, from adversary proceedings to contested hearings, and take matters to trial when needed
• Advise clients through high-pressure decisions with clear, practical guidance on their options and the risks attached
• Grow your practice with the backing of an established business reorganization team and a firm that supports partner business development

Environment

You'll join a collaborative Florida business law firm with offices across the state and a respected restructuring practice. You'll work alongside colleagues in litigation, real estate, and corporate who regularly touch distressed situations, which means more ways to bring in work and serve clients well.

What You Bring

You've handled substantial Chapter 11 work and you're ready to sit first chair, whether you've been doing it for years or you're stepping into that role now. Experience across debtor, committee, and fiduciary sides is a plus, and bankruptcy litigation and trial experience are strongly preferred. You bring some portable business, and the firm cares far more about capability and fit than the size of your book. You're a team player with a positive attitude who makes the people around you better.

Florida Bar admission is required, and if you're licensed elsewhere, the firm will fully support you through preparing for and passing the Florida Bar exam. Spanish is a plus.
