Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/04/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 4, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift stepdown unit role requiring TX or compact RN licensure and cardiac care experience.Details\n \n Work on a 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown Intermediate Care unit\n Care for patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope\n Support patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization\n Care for patients undergoing procedures such as Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR\n Unit may overflow to general Med/Surg or non-cardiac patients as needed\n Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15\n 13-week assignment length\n Priority floating to Med/Surg required when needed\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n BLS certification from AHA required\n ACLS certification from AHA required\n NIH Stroke Scale certification required\n Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required\n Cardiac care experience strongly preferred\n Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct care to patients with significant cardiac history and related disease processes\n Opportunity to help stabilize staffing during unit restructuring\n May be asked to help precept and train new hires, including RN Residents, so a willingness to teach is valued\n Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates\n US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration\n Full SSN and DOB required in submission for consideration\n Copy of driver's license required for consideration\n Two professional references required for consideration\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755657.
