Description

The Contractor shall provide health care support assisting with the Public Health Department Mission Team under the support of McDonald Army Health Center (MCAHC), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Fort Eustis, VA. The services will be of a nature and scope described in the paragraphs below. The contract Health Care Providers (HCPs) will work in conjunction with other health care providers, professionals, and non-contract personnel.

Contact Tracer positions certified to perform services of the nature and scope described below:

• Contacts are provided with education, information, and support to understand their risk, what they should do to separate themselves from others who are not exposed, monitor themselves for illness, and the possibility that they could spread the infection to others even if they themselves do not feel ill.
• Begin contact tracing by warning potentially exposed individuals (contacts) of their potential exposure as rapidly and sensitively as possible. Collect information from patient with confirmed infection to help them recall everyone with whom they have had close contact during the timeframe while they may have been infectious. Perform case investigations on persons with suspected or confirmed infection.

Qualifications

• Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: HCPs performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Degree: Associate Degree of Nursing
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Experience: One year of experience in nursing after graduation
• Basic Life Support Shall have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support, (BLS). All certificates shall be through the American Red Cross no substitute will be allowed. HCP can utilize the MTF on a Space-A basis for re-certifications only.
• Clinical Competency: Each HCP requesting clinical privileges shall be required to demonstrate clinical competency within the past two years in the required clinical discipline as specified Scope of Work: HCPs will not be able to bill the Government for participation in administrative functions (i.e., orientation, quality improvement programs, clinical/administrative data collection, meetings, and training). All participation in administrative functions will be during the scheduled workday and only mandatory training and meetings are authorized. No functions outside of the workday or non-mandatory hospital training such as skills day, hospital organization day will be authorized.
