Operations Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of fabrication and assembly operations to be performed. Perform basic welding skills; adjust welders to material being welded, select clamps, use jigs, fixtures, flame cut, plasma cut, drill material and other necessary equipment as required by the project Grinds and Polishes steel. Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 48_Certification Created with Sketch. Certification Must be able to obtain fork truck certification. Welding Qualification and/or Certification. Skills Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/drawings. Must be able to Mig and Tig weld. Must be able to grind and polish steel. Must be able to read a tape measure. Fluent in English language; including ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math, addition and subtraction of fractions. Knowledge Must have knowledge of and experience using basic hand tool and machinery usage (hammers, electric drills, drill presses, grinders, etc.). Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Competencies Is a team player. Construction experience and mechanical aptitude are desirable. Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; displays understanding of how job relates to others; uses resources effectively. Design - Demonstrates attention to detail.
