The auto sales associate is responsible for answering questions about the products and services offered by the dealership with the purpose of making customers feel welcomed and supported during the car buying process.

Responsibilities include:

• Offering assistance or guidance to any customer entering the car dealership
• Helping customers make a purchasing decision by asking questions and listening carefully to their answers and needs
• Working directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help improve the sales process
• Explaining product performance, application, and benefits to potential customers
• Reporting to the sales manager on goals, planned activities, reviews, and analyses

Qualifications include:

• Enthusiasm and a lot of energy during the sales workday
• Friendly and competitive personality, especially when handling objections and negotiating prices
• Strong customer service, communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and math skills
• Interest in training additional sales associates once you are up to speed and working in a team environment
• Clean driving record and valid drivers license

Physical requirements:

• The physical requirements of the position are of MEDIUM intensity.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception, and the field of vision comparable to that needed to safely drive vehicles.
• Constant: reaching, sitting, standing, walking, touching, grasping, feeling, speaking, hearing.
• Frequent: repetitive motion.
• Occasional: maintaining balance, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 pounds.

Work physical conditions:

• This position is subject to internal and external working conditions that include, but are not limited to, temperature changes, external weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, potential minor physical hazards such as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors, and dusts associated with the operation of an automobile dealership.
