About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | 8-hour shifts with various start times (0645, 1045, 1445) | Call required approximately once per week on weeknights, every 3rd to 4th weekend, and on holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment with 15 operating rooms and 25–45 cases per day
• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
• Perform scrub and circulating roles as required throughout scheduled shifts
• Collaborate with surgical technologists, CNAs, and Charge RN to ensure safe and efficient room turnover and patient care
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability and willingness to scrub as required
• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and provide a negative drug screen for all panels

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a multi-specialty, high-volume operating room environment
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Experience with robotic or cardiothoracic surgical cases
