About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13-20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience. Traveler experience accepted. Experience with Med/Surg and MS/Tele specialties. Knowledge in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with telemetry remote monitoring. Ability to use Rapid Response/Code teams. Experience with bowel obstruction management and colostomy/ileostomy care. Skilled in feeding tube care and pre/post hemodialysis management. Experience managing renal failure and blood product administration. Proficient in central line blood draws and peripheral line care. Skilled in phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs including Heparin and Insulin. Knowledgeable about PCA, chest tube management, and non-invasive airway management. Experience in oxygen administration and isolation precautions/PPE. Wound care experience including wound vac. Description: The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. This position involves night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Contracts range from 13 to 20 weeks with flexible 36 or 48-hour options. No call requirement is necessary for this role. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Weekend shifts are every other week. Candidates must be available to work during emergencies and disasters. Patient diagnoses may include diabetes, dementia, COVID-19, pneumonia, and sepsis. Additional conditions include GI bleed, anemia, renal failure, and various surgical recovery cases. Candidates are expected to adapt to team dynamics and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary support.
