Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Martinsville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The role is focused on ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to strict aseptic practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all sterilized items.
• Assist in quality control measures and adhere to safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure the availability of instruments.
• Participate in training and orientation for new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must be licensed/certified to work as a Certified Sterile Processor in Virginia.
• 1-2 years of experience in sterile processing is preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, CPI/HWC.
