My client, a highly respected and well-established New York City general contractor, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large-scale ground-up multifamily construction projects in New York City and will possess a strong understanding of local construction practices, regulations, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of ground-up multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and risk management
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
• Lead project teams, including Assistant Project Managers and Field Leadership
• Monitor project performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Review and approve change orders, submittals, RFIs, and pay applications
• Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders
• Drive projects to successful completion while meeting schedule and budget objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
• Demonstrated experience managing ground-up multifamily construction projects in New York City
• Strong knowledge of NYC construction processes, permitting, and building requirements
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor relationships
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with industry-standard construction management software
