Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Maintenance TechniciannVent, located in Alexandria, MN, is adding a Maintenance Technician to our team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position significantly contributes to manufacturing operations through responsive and effective improvements and repairs to manufacturing equipment.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:In this position, you will get to:Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging and auxiliary machinesPerform preventative and autonomous maintenance on equipmentMake improvements and updates to existing equipmentInitiate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement projectsEffectively use Mapcon to document all work performed on equipmentParticipate in design review activities for new and existing equipmentMaintain spare parts inventoryMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other duties as assignedYOU HAVE:Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery; which includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentCapable for reading and interpreting electrical schematic PLC programs and mechanical blueprintsAbility to operate various shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairsKnowledge of world-class manufacturing practicesGeneral knowledge of Injection molding machines operation and processesGeneral knowledge of machine controlsStrong organizational skillsWorking knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office, Mapcon and PLC's3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experienceWE HAVE:A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every dayCommitment to strengthen communities where our employees live and workCore values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customersBenefits to support the lives of our employeesPay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
