Introduction: This is a unique opportunity to blend user research, behavioral science, experimentation, and data analysis at a fast-growing robotics startup. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations to design and execute consumer studies that directly influence the future of our customer experience. *This is an on site position for our office in Burlington, MA. The internship is intended to run 3-6 months* What You'll Do Design and execute consumer research studies focused on self-service user experiences. Develop test methodologies and experimental frameworks to answer key product questions. Recruit, organize, and moderate user interview groups and usability sessions. Plan and coordinate testing logistics for our internal ManiLab consumer testing environment. Lead day-of testing activities, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality data collection. Collect both qualitative and quantitative customer feedback through interviews, surveys, observations, and product usage data. Analyze research findings using statistical methods to identify meaningful trends and actionable insights. Build reports and presentations that clearly communicate recommendations to Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams. Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize experiments and measure the impact of product improvements. Help establish best practices for experimentation, user research, and consumer insight generation as our testing program scales. What you have Currently pursuing (or recent grad with) a Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA in Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Human Factors, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. Strong interest in consumer behavior, experimentation, product research, or UX research. Experience designing surveys, user interviews, or research studies through coursework or previous internships. Comfortable working with data and applying statistical thinking to draw conclusions. Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate research into clear recommendations. Highly organized and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment where no two days are the same. Comfortable interacting directly with customers and facilitating research sessions.
