Construction Project Engineer Location: Columbus, Ohio Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 ⭐ Employee-Owned (ESOP) Company ⭐ About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will manage comprehensive document control, track projects, and assist the Project Manager across all phases of construction—from preconstruction through close-out. Key Responsibilities

• Document Control: Maintain and manage all plans, specifications, tracking logs, shop drawings, RFIs, POs, proposals, and RFQs.
• Project Administration: Maintain cost-tracking databases, establish project scopes, and coordinate day-to-day management tasks with the Project Manager.
• Bidding & Scopes: Assist with trade bid solicitation and monitor scope changes for compliance and pricing.
• Processing: Process field change orders, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Meetings: Participate and present at OAC and contractor weekly progress meetings.
• Close-Out: Assist in tracking checklists, collecting operations manuals, and preparing/submitting as-built drawings.
• Business Development: Participate in project interviews and contribute to RFP/RFQ responses.
• Safety: Support project safety policies in the field and report safety information and violations to the Project Superintendent. Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer with a construction company is required.
• Education: A four-year college/university program certificate, OR 2–4 years of related experience/training, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Software: Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills; must be or become proficient in all aspects of the Procore project management system.
• Communication: Strong writing skills for reports/responses, and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and legal/construction documents.
• Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from abstract and concrete variables. Compensation & Benefits
• Pay: Weekly pay with an annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000.
