The ideal Level I/II QA Inspector candidate will be responsible for conducting examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards and specifications, as well as performing visual inspections of parts that have been coated and/or painted at Cametoid. He/she will also be responsible for preparing and completing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.

The candidate must be able to identify design, process, or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns and issues to the Director of Quality. The candidate must have the ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision and be skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Communicate issues to other department personnel and management when necessary
• Communicate issues to customers when necessary
• Read technical drawings with multiple views
• Verify and determine acceptability of parts and material to written standards
• Write discrepancy reports and complete inspection documentation
• Complete work according to instructions, specifications, drawings, and procedures
• Help in the Masking Department when/if there is a need and when workload requires
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance

Qualifications

• Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
• 25 years of inspection experience
• Aviation industry experience required
• Self-motivated with a problem-solver attitude
• Strong attention to detail and proactive communicator
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with Quality Assurance systems and standards (Nadcap, Military)
• Experience with regulatory conformity inspections (FAA, Government)

Schedule & Overtime Expectations

All positions must be able to work overtime and Saturday mornings from 6:00 AM12:00 PM when necessary. We value our team's time off and hope to keep Saturday work to a minimum, but it is required from time to time. We will NEVER work Sundays or Holidays.
