Inspector Packer

This role involves working on a fast-paced production line to manually load, pack, sort, and transport materials and finished products while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will operate and support automated packaging machinery, prepare products for palletizing and shipment, and perform regular cleaning and housekeeping tasks in a manufacturing environment. The position requires attention to detail, strong physical capability, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manually load, pack, and sort materials and finished products on a production line.
• Hand-stack finished goods and arrange boxes into organized patterns for storage or shipment.
• Set up and change film rolls on automated packaging machinery according to production requirements.
• Palletize product cartons for disposal, staging, and movement within the facility.
• Perform visual inspection of products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Label, stack, and organize products and materials to maintain accurate inventory and efficient workflow.
• Pick and prepare orders using RF scanners and other material handling tools as needed.
• Load and unload materials, cartons, and pallets using pallet jacks and other approved equipment

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment that is fast paced and production driven, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and heavy lifting, as well as regular use of pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling tools. You will spend most of your time on or near production lines, performing packing, stacking, sorting, and inspection tasks. The work area includes production equipment, packaging machinery, and storage or staging zones where pallets and cartons are moved, loaded, and unloaded. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) apply, and you will follow established safety and housekeeping standards, including regular cleaning of equipment, work areas, and trenches.

This is a contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
