Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician

Baptist Primary Care is seeking an experienced, board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director and Chief Attending Physician at River Garden in Jacksonville, Florida.

This opportunity combines clinical practice with meaningful physician leadership. The Medical Director will oversee the care and services provided to patients and residents while helping guide quality, safety, and clinical performance across the organization.

• Average daily patient volume of
• Light call responsibilities
• $20,000 signing bonus
• Epic electronic health record
• Leadership role with continued clinical involvement
• Collaboration with clinical, administrative, pharmacy, and resident-care teams
• Support from Baptist Primary Care and the broader Baptist Health system

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for patient and resident care
• Promote high standards of quality, safety, and clinical performance
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives
• Support infection prevention and control efforts
• Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics, resident-care, departmental, and other leadership meetings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery
• Encourage safe, effective, and compliant clinical practices

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for Florida licensure
• Current DEA registration
• At least five years of clinical experience
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Experience caring for geriatric patients
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
