ECLC Student Worker

Job Description This position provides support for Infant, Toddler, and/or Pre‑primary classrooms and assists a Lead Teacher by carrying out daily routines and procedures at the Martin Luther College Early Childhood Learning Center. Workers assist children age six weeks to Kindergarten and are responsible for meal preparation, snack preparation, laundry, maintaining cleanliness of the environment, and reporting safety concerns regarding the physical environment. Students may also help with lesson planning and activities, perform and monitor daily record‑keeping for each child, teach and interact with small group experiences, and interact with parents, guardians, and caregivers. The role also includes any other duties as needed or directed. Employment Dates August 24, 2026 – May 21, 2027 (2026‑2027 Academic Year) Working Hours & Days Monday through Friday, flexible hours between 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Regular – Student life policies state: student employees may only have one regular job and may not work more than 19 hours per week. Minimum Age Individual must be at least 16 years of age or older. Working Conditions Lifting 40 lbs., bending, kneeling, standing, frequent mobility, use of chemicals, use of hands and arms, moderate noise level, ability to make swift movement, etc. Salary $13.41 per hour Benefits Student workers are not benefit‑eligible, but receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
