Job Description:

Position: Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Setting: Pediatric Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 7:30am-4:00pm
• May fluctuate to 8:00am-4:30pm
• 40 hours per week

Travel Pay Package:

• $3,627 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Local Pay Package:

• $2,600 per week total

Overview:

• Perform routine and complex echocardiography examinations
• Conduct cardiac ultrasound studies on pediatric patients with normal cardiac anatomy and complex congenital heart disease
• Perform exams independently during diagnostic, pre-operative, under-anesthesia, and post-operative phases of care
• Operate cardiac ultrasound and Doppler equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Evaluate image quality and make adjustments as needed
• Perform examinations in non-invasive labs, inpatient units, satellite locations, and affiliated facilities
• Work in a specialized pediatric cardiac care environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Sonographer experience with pediatric patients required
• ARDMS Adult Echocardiography (AE) required
• ARDMS Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) required
• BLS certification required
• Philips equipment experience required
• Experience imaging patients with congenital heart disease required
• Ability to independently perform complex pediatric echocardiography examinations
