About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in high acuity hospital settings or strong level II experience required. License: Valid RN license Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required Must-Have: Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least one year of CV experience required. EPIC experience required. Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Nurses will care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical problems. Conditions may include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, and cardiac anomalies. Experience in ECMO and organ transplantation is necessary. Familiarity with high acuity patient care, including congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac care, is vital. Nurses must possess skills in accessing/managing ports, telemetry monitoring, and the administration of medications. Communication and teamwork are crucial in this position.
