Job Title: General Production Worker (Finisher) Job Description

The General Production Worker, referred to as a "finisher," performs a variety of hands-on tasks in a plastics extrusion environment and develops the skills needed to become a machine operator. This role focuses on quality control, supporting the extruder operator, handling scrap material, and stacking finished products at the end of the production line. The position also includes occasional forklift operation and accurate inventory and data entry for completed bundles and scale logs.

• Support the extruder operator by monitoring brushed lines and assisting with machine operation as directed.
• Perform quality assurance tasks, including regular quality checks on products throughout the production process.
• Remove scrap material from the line as needed and ensure it is handled and recorded correctly.
• Stack, label, and organize finished products at the end of the production line to maintain an orderly workflow.
• Operate a forklift when required, typically for a small portion of the workday, to move materials and finished bundles.
• Maintain accurate inventory control by correctly entering completed bundles into the system.
• Complete physical scale logs and G-8 scrap logs thoroughly and accurately.
• Enter data into the virtual scale log and related systems to ensure precise tracking of production and scrap.
• Perform general labor duties around the production area to support overall plant operations.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures while working in a plastics extrusion environment.

• Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to assist with machine operation and follow directions from an extruder or machine operator.
• Basic knowledge of quality assurance practices, including performing routine quality checks.
• Capability to safely operate a forklift or willingness to learn forklift operation as required.
• Strong attention to detail when stacking, labeling, and organizing finished products.
• Ability to perform accurate inventory control and data entry for completed bundles.
• Skill in correctly filling out physical scale logs and scrap logs.
• Competence in entering data into virtual scale logs or similar computer-based systems.
• Physical ability to stand, move, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.

• Familiarity with plastics extrusion processes or similar manufacturing environments.
• Comfort working with machinery and learning new machine operating procedures over time.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly stacking, labeling, and inventory records.
• Willingness to cross-train and grow into a machine operator role.
• Reliability and commitment to following established safety and quality standards.

The role is based in a large warehouse facility that can be cooler in the winter months. Team members typically wear long-sleeve shirts and jeans in colder weather, and steel-toe footwear is not required. You work around plastics extrusion equipment, production lines, and forklifts in an active manufacturing setting, performing manual tasks and data entry throughout your shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Menasha, WI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Menasha,WI.
