Job Description

A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) plays a vital role in supporting patient well-being, rehabilitation, and recovery by providing direct assistance to an occupational therapist. The COTA works collaboratively to implement treatment plans that enhance patients' functional abilities and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans established by occupational therapists.
• Support patients in developing skills for daily living and activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising occupational therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercises.
• Maintain a clean and safe therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is required.
• Current Texas occupational therapy assistant license or compact license is required.

Work Schedule

This position offers 8-hour day shifts with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or on-call requirements associated with this role.
