We are seeking an experienced Dealership Controller to lead and oversee the accounting operations of our automotive dealership. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the accuracy, efficiency, and daily operation of the accounting office.

Automotive dealership experience is required. We are looking for a strong leader who understands dealership accounting, takes ownership of the financial operations, and can effectively lead an accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of the dealership accounting office.
• Supervise, train, develop, and hold accounting office staff accountable for their responsibilities.
• Ensure the accounting office operates efficiently and maintains accurate and timely records.
• Perform daily reconciliations of cash, bank accounts, vehicle deals, and other key dealership accounts.
• Review daily accounting activity and identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and oversee month-end financial statement closing.
• Monitor dealership expenses and assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Coordinate with banks, manufacturers, auditors, tax professionals, and other outside partners as needed.
• Lead by example and create a culture of accountability, teamwork, accuracy, and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Automotive dealership accounting experience is REQUIRED.
• Previous experience as a Dealership Controller or an Assistant Controller
• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and accounting procedures.
• Experience with dealership DMS and accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to perform and oversee daily account reconciliations .
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
