Litigated Claims Specialist, General LiabilityAt Zurich North America, we are seeking a Litigated Claims Specialist to join our high-performing Commercial General Liability team. The selected candidate should be able to report on a hybrid work schedule to one of these Zurich offices: Schaumburg, IL, Addison, TX, Atlanta, GA, or Omaha, NE.What You Will Do: In this dynamic role, you'll manage and resolve high-exposure, multi-party commercial general liability claims. Using your litigation expertise and strategic mindset, you will:Handle complex litigated claims from start to finish with a focus on quality, efficiency, and service excellence.Partner closely with internal and external counsel, underwriters, and risk professionals.Provide clear, timely communication to customers and stakeholders throughout the claim process.Ensure claims are handled in accordance with regulatory standards and company protocols.You'll be empowered to own your claims portfolio while contributing to Zurich's commitment to industry leadership and customer trust.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance ORZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an associate degree, with 3+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance ORCompletion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance ORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Claims or InsuranceMust obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and productsProficiency in Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience handling Commercial General Liability claims5+ years of experience handling litigation managementWork experience working with a carrierEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilitiesExperience in team collaboration and building cross-functional relationshipsProficiency in explaining complex financial and actuarial conceptsAbility to assess the scope and exposure of moderately complex claimsExpertise in the reserving process for indemnity and expensesCapability to develop and execute negotiation strategiesSkill in identifying nuances in customer and business partner interactionsProficiency in presenting claim resolution information to stakeholdersYour pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $59,900.00 - $98,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
