We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer / Systems Integrator to join a growing industrial automation and electrical controls team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking controls projects from concept through programming, startup, and commissioning. You will work directly with PLCs, VFDs, HMI/SCADA systems, electrical controls, and industrial equipment while having significant ownership over your projects.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of controls or electrical engineering experience and is comfortable troubleshooting systems in the field, developing PLC programs, and working directly with customers.

What You Will Do

• Develop, program, commission, and troubleshoot industrial control and automation systems.
• Program PLC-based control systems with a strong emphasis on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix.
• Develop PLC programs using Function Block, Structured Text, and other applicable programming methods.
• Configure and troubleshoot variable frequency drives, including Allen-Bradley PowerFlex and ABB platforms.
• Develop and support HMI and SCADA applications.
• Work with FactoryTalk Studio, RSView32, AVEVA/Wonderware, Intellution, and related platforms.
• Support industrial data collection and historian systems.
• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical and control equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, layouts, and system documentation.
• Create and update electrical schematics and drawings using AutoCAD.
• Troubleshoot electrical, automation, equipment, and process issues to identify root causes.
• Participate in system installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Train customer personnel on system operation, adjustments, and controls functionality.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, field personnel, and other technical stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of controls, automation, systems integration, or electrical engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting PLC programs.
• Working knowledge of FactoryTalk Studio, RSView32, AVEVA/Wonderware, or Intellution.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex and/or ABB drives.
• Knowledge of SCADA and industrial data collection/historian systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical schematics.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment and process issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed, hands-on approach to solving technical problems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical education or engineering training is preferred.

$120,000.00 - $160,000.00 Annually
