Prestige Personnel, LLC is currently supporting a client with their hiring needs for an immediate DIRECT HIRE CNC Machinist position.
Role Description:
- The CNC Machinist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Longmont, CO. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines to produce precision components in accordance with specifications and blueprints.
- Set up and run up to two CNC machines (Haas VM-3 vertical mill and Haas ST-20 Horizontal Lathe) to fabricate precision parts
- Use supporting manual machines (lathe, mill, bandsaw, etc.) as needed
- Load and unload parts in the machines
- Start the machining cycle and monitor the process
- Inspect dimensions of finished pieces
- Fabricate fixtures and change tooling as needed
- Hold tight tolerances (+/- .0003”)
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience setting up and operating Multi-Axis CNC Machines.
- Experience fabricating precision parts
- Ability to process parts based on the blueprint, including selection of raw material, tooling selection, determining the best process steps, programming machine tool paths, and sometimes making your own fixturing.
- Experience inspecting parts and using inspection tools
- Knowledge of metallurgy and other materials used in the manufacturing process.
- Good aptitude for shop math
- Welding experience is a plus
- Will work closely with the procurement manager and other team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 40lbs
Salary DOE: up to $78K
