This role provides leadership to staff, maintains compliance with health and safety regulations, and assists in financial and administrative oversight.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily front- and back-of-house dining operations to ensure efficient service and high-quality food productionSupervise, train, and support student and hourly employees; manage scheduling and labor allocationEnforce all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards; maintain required compliance logs and documentationMonitor labor performance, productivity, and operational metrics to support financial goalsAssist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control, including tracking usage trends and minimizing wasteSupport administrative functions including employee onboarding, payroll coordination, and HR-related processesCommunicate effectively with management, staff, and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and ensure alignmentMaintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets company and regulatory standardsPreferred Qualifications:Supervisory or management experience in food service, hospitality, or dining operationsStrong understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience with labor management, scheduling, and inventory systemsWork EnvironmentFast-paced, high-volume university dining settingRequires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, as neededApply to Chartwells Higher Education today!Chartwells Higher Education is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
