About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead Market Risk for US Credit Trading. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and establishing a market risk management framework for the corporate and investment bank, with a focus on all credit products traded in the US, including IG corporates, HY corporates, leveraged loans, and emerging markets bonds. This role involves ensuring the identification, measurement, and monitoring of market risk to control risk-taking, support senior management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Executive Director will also manage the market risk associated with underwriting corporate bonds and convertibles in the US, oversee new product onboarding, and lead infrastructure projects supporting the credit business. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a graduate degree in a quantitative field preferred, and at least 12 years of experience in risk management and controls. The role requires an in-depth understanding of hybrid credit products, common hedging instruments, and the ability to advise trading desks on risk-taking, mitigation, and regulatory capital usage. Strong cross-functional expertise, solid knowledge of regulatory standards, and market risk methodologies are essential. The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills, the ability to operate in a complex, matrixed environment, and a basic knowledge of AI tools. The position demands a proactive and responsible approach to risk management and the ability to maintain productive working relationships across various business functions.
