Qualifications & Requirements Registered Dietitian credentials Licensure in North Carolina Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND (for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24) Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice; may be required at time of hire in some states Minimum functional experience – 3 years as a practitioner able to work with minimal supervision What You’ll Do Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments/reassessments and counseling of general and complex patients and their families per the Nutrition Care Process model. Actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding with care team members. Provide education to patients and staff, working well with interdisciplinary team members. Be involved in quality improvement and research projects as opportunities arise. Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns, as needed. Provide coverage for other inpatient dietitians on weekends, holidays, and as assigned.
