Information Technology Support Technician

Overview We are partnered with a growing manufacturing company in the Fountaintown, IN area seeking a Tier 1 IT Technician to join their team. Job details Account Manager & Technical Recruiter at Aegis Worldwide Location: Fountaintown, IN | Direct-Hire | 100% Onsite Base salary: $45,000 – $65,000 per year (depending on experience) Full Benefits | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues, providing support for Windows environments, Office 365, and other applications. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues (desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, scanners, mobile devices). Monitor basic network infrastructure (switches, routers, Wi‑Fi) and escalate complex issues to Tier II teams as needed. Set up, configure, and maintain user devices and ensure systems are updated and secure. Collaborate with other IT teams (Systems, Data, Development, ERP) to resolve escalated issues and improve processes. Maintain accurate documentation of support procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Identify recurring problems and recommend process improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring users are supported and kept informed throughout the troubleshooting process. Requirements Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–2 years of IT support experience in a Microsoft environment. Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networks. Knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic networking concepts. Excellent communication skills—able to explain solutions clearly to non-technical users. Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, factory setting. Preferred but not required: CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or similar.
