Branch Driver I

Rexel USA is a leading distributor of electrical products and related supplies across the United States. Job Summary Branch Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch and warehouse locations, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). The role ensures deliveries meet customer requirements and that materials are correct and free of damage. Key Responsibilities Inspect the company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report. Keep the company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert a supervisor of any needed repair or service. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations. Load or unload vehicles and verify that all material for each order is correct in quantity and type and free of damage before departure. Assist in preparing orders for delivery. Ensure all delivery documentation is completed at the time of delivery, including customer signatures, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests. Pick up material returns from customers, inspect condition, and verify quantities and catalog numbers. Pick up material from company suppliers. Support other warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must attend company driver training (in lieu of prior experience). Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a pre‑employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review. Must obtain verification of a non‑expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire. Must not have had a suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident or violation within the past 3 years. Must not have any at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW. Ability to handle basic issues and problems. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws. Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to meet deadlines. Excellent customer‑service skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to work overtime as needed. Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment – Occasionally, up to 20 % of the time. Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co‑workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions – Constantly, at least 51 % of the time.
