Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform, manage, and oversee land surveying projects including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, record drawing surveys, and construction staking services.

• Prepare, review, and approve survey maps, legal descriptions, plats, and related survey documents.

• Supervise, train, mentor, and support survey field crews and technical staff.

• Review field data, calculations, and survey deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct boundary research and resolve survey discrepancies.

• Coordinate survey activities with engineers, planners, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.

• Ensure compliance with state statutes, local ordinances, and professional surveying standards.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and project documentation.

• Maintain organized project records and ensure timely project completion.

• Promote and enforce safe work practices in both field and office environments.

• Represent the company during client meetings and project discussions.

• Support additional project and company initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant land surveying experience.

• Strong knowledge of boundary law, land surveying principles, and state regulations.

• Experience using survey equipment and data collection technologies.

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.

• Experience supervising survey crews and technical staff preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

• Experience using industry-standard surveying software preferred.

• Experience working with public agencies and survey recording processes preferred.

• Project management experience preferred.

• Business development experience preferred.

• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
