Forklift Operators (Cherry Pickers)Surestaff is immediately hiring Forklift Operators (Cherry Pickers) for a large, well-known client in Elgin, IL. As a Forklift Operator, you will safely operate elevated order-picking equipment (Cherry Picker/Stand-Up Reach Truck) to select, stage, and load packaging, shipping, and industrial supplies. All Temp-To-Hire employees are offered competitive compensation as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).Available shifts include:6am - 2:30pm, M-F - $18.588:30am - 5pm, M-F - $18.589:30pm - 6am, M-Th - $20.83Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:Safely operate a Cherry Picker (Order Picker) at elevated heights to pick cases and full pallets of inventory.Accurately pick orders using RF scanners, pick tickets, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).Conduct cycle counts, stock replenishment, and put-away tasks while maintaining accurate inventory records.Assist with staging, pallet wrapping, loading, and unloading shipments as needed.Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment; adhere to all OSHA guidelines, harness/harness-tether protocols, and facility safety procedures.Required Qualifications of the Forklift Operator:Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating an electric Cherry Picker / Order Picker in a warehouse environment.OSHA Forklift/Cherry Picker certification preferredAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.Previous experience using handheld RF scanners and basic WMS systems.About SurestaffAt Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
