Job Description

Insight Global is currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer / Consultant for one of our largest Food Distribution customers in the Houston, TX area. This individual will partner directly with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to define, design, develop, and implement a scalable Incentive Pay System. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, translating compensation plans and business rules into technical specifications, designing application architecture, developing front-end and back-end components, building APIs and integrations, creating configurable commission and bonus calculation engines, developing dashboards and reporting tools, supporting HRIS, payroll, CRM, ERP, and finance integrations, and ensuring all incentive calculations are accurate, auditable, and traceable. The ideal candidate will have strong full stack development experience, experience working directly with business stakeholders, expertise in application architecture and relational databases, and a proven ability to translate complex compensation processes into technical solutions. Previous experience developing or supporting incentive compensation, commission, bonus, sales performance management, or payroll-related systems is highly preferred. This position is a contract consulting opportunity supporting a U.S.-based team and can be worked remotely or in a hybrid capacity depending on project requirements and candidate location. The pay rate for this position will be between $75-85/hr.

Skills and Requirements

U.S.-based candidate

Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Application Developer, or Technical Consultant

Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders

Ability to translate business processes into technical solutions

Strong front-end development experience (React, Angular, Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)

Strong back-end development experience (.NET/C#, Java, Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar)

Experience designing relational databases and complex data models

Experience building and consuming REST APIs

Experience integrating multiple enterprise systems

Strong understanding of application architecture, security, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls

Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing, and modern software development practices

Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) or Sales Performance Management (SPM) systems

Experience with commission, bonus, payroll, or variable compensation platforms

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management, Varicent, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Spiff, Oracle Incentive Compensation, or similar tools

Experience building configurable rules engines and complex financial calculation systems

Experience integrating HRIS/HCM, CRM, ERP, and payroll applications

Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms

Previous consulting experience leading stakeholder workshops and solution design discussions
