Job Description
The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items on gas and flat top grills in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role ensures food safety, maintains kitchen cleanliness, and supports smooth kitchen operations without direct customer interaction. Typical shifts last around 5 hours.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items on gas grills and flat tops
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grill area and kitchen
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in food preparation and grilling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Effective communication within kitchen staff
