Fall 2026 Psychology Adjunct Instructor St. John's University, founded in 1870, operates campuses in New York City and international locations. The Psychology Department offers undergraduate, graduate, and combined programs, including M.A., M.S., Psy.D., Ph.D., and certificates. Course and Job Responsibilities Instructor will oversee PSY3040 Research Lab 1 & PSY3041 Research Lab 2 (combined sections, typically fewer than 15 students). The course engages students in research projects with local hospitals and partner universities, focusing on health, health care disparities, and basic mechanistic studies. Responsibilities include: Managing literature reviews, data collection, and analysis for research projects. Guiding students in IRB submissions and data management. Assisting students in writing abstracts and poster presentations for local and national conferences. Providing feedback and fostering collaboration among diverse student groups. Advanced Research Methods in Psychology 2 (PSY3041) offers students the opportunity to lead new cohorts, develop research designs, and independently conduct data analyses. Qualifications MA in Psychology or related fields including Data Analytics. Strong skills and knowledge about research design, implementation, and data analysis. High level writing and reasoning skills. Ideally the instructor will have taken the course previously. Must be able to work with other instructors running other sections.
